PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in image quality of an image to be printed at bidirectional printing.SOLUTION: The printing apparatus forms dots on a print medium according to dot data generated by comparing a gradation value of each pixel with each threshold of a dither mask, and prints the image. The printing apparatus performs formation of dots by dividing the dots into first and second pixel groups which have different printing conditions, and performs at least part of the formation of dots from the first and second pixel groups in a common area. When cockling is likely to occur, printing is performed using the dither mask for suppressing the color difference of the image rather than the case when the cockling is unlikely to occur. Likeliness of cockling is determined depending on how many paths there are. |
