PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a shifting shock of a motor driving device for a vehicle using a two-way roller clutch.SOLUTION: A motor driving device A for a vehicle has an input shaft 30 input with rotation of an electric motor 3; a first speed input gear 31A and a second speed input gear 31B on the input shaft 30; a first speed output gear 33A and a second speed output gear 33B on an output shaft 32; a first speed two-way roller clutch 44A incorporated between the first speed output gear 33A and the output shaft 32; and a second speed two-way roller clutch 44B incorporated between the second speed output gear 33B and the output shaft 32. When a shifting command is received, a rotational frequency of the electric motor 3 such that a difference of rotational frequencies of an input side and an output side of the two-way roller clutch 44B of the next speed stage becomes a predetermined target value larger than zero is calculated on the basis of a rotational frequency of the output shaft 32, and after the electric motor 3 is accelerated or decelerated using the rotational frequency as the target value, the two-way roller clutch 44B of the next speed stage is engaged. |
