<p>The invention relates to an apparatus for viewing augmented reality, comprising: a mask (16) comprising a mounting (22) defining a bearing surface (24) on the face of a user, and a strap (20) for retaining the mounting (22); a semitransparent screen (76) attached to the mounting (22); and a system (82) for projection onto the screen (76). The mounting (22) comprises a tubular body (22A) defining a flexible and extensible frame (23) that supports the bearing surface (24) and a stiffening band (26) in which a visor (28) is attached. The body (22A) is defined, between the frame (23) and the band (26), by a flexible, resilient mesh (32) and, on the sides, by rigid sidewalls (30A, 30B) onto which the retaining strap (20) is attached via the ends thereof, said rigid sidewalls (30A, 30B) defining, with the band (26), a resilient return hinge. The bearing surface (24) is defined by an inextensible strap (102) connected, at each of the ends thereof, only in the vicinity of the free ends of the sidewalls (30A, 30B), thereby enabling the strap (102) to be tensioned when the sidewalls (30A, 30B) are spaced apart so as to ensure that the spacing between the strap (102) and the screen (76) is maintained.</p> |
