PURPOSE: A hydroxyl radical generator having a high capacity electric power control function is provided to eliminate bacteria and algae existing in water by generating hydroxyl radicals, to prevent bacteria reproduction in water, and to be able to be safely used by preventing the electric shock accident. CONSTITUTION: A hydroxyl radical generator comprises a main body, a hydroxyl radical generating unit (120), a battery (140), a battery charger (150), a relay (160), an H-bridge circuit (180), a switching unit and a control unit (165). A reservoir is formed in the main body so as to store water inside. The hydroxyl radical generating unit is equipped in the reservoir. The relay controls the connection of the battery and the battery charger. The H-bridge circuit converts the polarity of the battery by switching multiple switching elements, and supplies the power to the hydroxyl radical generating unit. The switching unit switches multiple switching elements in the H-bridge circuit. The control unit controls the operation of the switching unit and the operation of the relay.
