PURPOSE: A worm gear is provided to make it easier to form an oil film between a worm and a worm wheel; improve the durability of gear teeth; and disperse weight taking place when the worm and the worm wheel engage with each other by strengthening the engagement of the two parts. CONSTITUTION: The teeth (12) of a worm wheel (P) have an involute tooth form. The screw thread of a worm (20) corresponding to the worm wheel (10)’s teeth has an isosceles trapezoid shape. The shape of the worm’s screw thread corresponds to the pitch circle (P) of the worm wheel. The threaded rod of the worm corresponds to the involute teeth of the worm wheel.
