PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel excavator provided with cutter means with a simple structure that crushes a massive excavated body caught in a discharge opening of a discharge device in a chamber on a back side of a cutter head.SOLUTION: A tunnel excavator 1 comprising a cutter head 2, a chamber 4 on a back side of the cutter head 2, a partition wall 5 partitioning the chamber 4, and a discharge device 7 discharging the excavated body in the chamber 4 is provided with cutter means 20 of crushing the massive excavated body caught in a discharge opening 8a of the discharge device 7 in the chamber 4 on the back side of the cutter head 2. The cutter means 20 includes a roller support member and a roller cutter supported in a free rotation state by the roller support member, and is disposed so that when the cutter head 2 rotates, the roller cutter passes nearby the front of the discharge opening 8a. Further, the cutter means 20 includes an agitating function and a function of separating sticking body sticking on the partition wall 5. |
