PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact which is made of a carbon fiber with superior functionality regarding temperature.SOLUTION: Continuous carbon fiber is bundled up and filled in a tubular member in an axial direction, and the diameter of the tubular member is reduced. One end of the tubular member is soaked in solution 400 including thermosetting resin F, and the thermosetting resin F is impregnated into the carbon fiber bundle. Then, the carbon fiber bundle is subjected to thermally hardening treatment and then carbonization treatment, and carbon fiber bulk 100' is produced.
