PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle meter display device and a display method allowing an occupant to easily recognize display contents of a display part that the occupant wants to know during travel by instantaneous check operation.SOLUTION: The vehicle meter display device includes: a display part having a display region S1 in which a plurality of horizontally-long display areas A extending elongatedly in a right and left direction of a meter body 10 are juxtaposed in an orthogonal direction orthogonal to the right and left direction; and a display control part switching each of the display areas A between a display operated state and a non-display operated state and increasing the number of the display areas A to be displayed and operated from one end in the orthogonal direction toward the other end in the orthogonal direction according to a predetermined vehicle state change. |
