[Problem] To provide a battery coupling method and a battery coupling device with which it is possible to alleviate support member damage when coupling support members which support battery cells to the battery cells. [Solution] Provided is a battery coupling method with which spacers (40, 90) are coupled to a battery cell (10) which comprises an electrode group. The method comprises: a heating step (S12) of passing protrusion parts (43, 93) which are formed on the spacers through holes (16) which are formed in the battery cell, pressing the protrusion parts from the leading end side thereof with a heating part (120) with which heating is carried out, and forming heat deformed parts (42, 92) of a size which prevents extraction from the holes; a pressing step (S11) of pressing the spacers by a pressing part (130) which approaches the spacers from the side with respect to the spacers where the heating part is positioned; a heating part removal step (S14) of removing the heating part from the heat deformed parts after the pressing step (S11); and a pressing part removal step (S15) of removing the pressing part from the spacers after the heating part removal step (S14). |
