Provided is an image processing device capable of preventing increased difficulty of high precision diagnosis based on composite sites in a composite image. The image processing device has: an image data acquisition means that obtains a plurality of divided image data obtained by dividing the imaging range of an imaging target into a plurality of areas and imaging same; a composite image data generation means that generates composite image data on the basis of the plurality of divided image data; and a data generation means for composite area display, that generates display image data for causing an observer to recognize composite areas in the composite image data. The image processing device is characterized by the data generation means for composite area display changing at least either the color or the brightness of all composite areas included in the display area.
