PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device which can reliably remove ink, dust or the like from a roller on a medium conveyance path, a cleaning method thereof and a program.SOLUTION: A cleaning device includes a flat plate-like cleaning medium 90 with an opening provided at a part thereof, transports the cleaning medium 90 to a position such that the opening is at a position corresponding to a fourth roller 104, puts a first motor 61 into a locked state such that second and third rollers 102 and 103 stop transportation of the cleaning medium 90, and drives a second motor 62 in the direction to suck the cleaning medium 90 in order to make a fifth roller 105 be at idle on the cleaning medium 90 so that the fifth roller 105 is cleaned. |
