Disclosed is an electrode assembly having an improved structure for enhancing the electrolyte impregnation of an electrode plate and allowing degasing to be smoothly performed, and a secondary battery using the electrode assembly. The electrode assembly according to the present invention comprises: one or more positive plates formed by depositing a positive electrode active material onto an electrode current collector; one or more negative plates formed by depositing a negative electrode active material onto an electrode current collector; and a separator interposed between the positive plate and the negative plate having one or more vents formed therein. |
