PURPOSE: A USB host device and a power control method thereof are provided to reduce battery power consumption by controlling power supply and data telecommunication, reflecting the characteristics of a USB device. CONSTITUTION: If the power supply of a USB host (10) is set above a first power supply threshold value (A), the USB host works on 'Normal' mode while working on 'Economic' mode at low electricity consumption with the power supply set below the first power supply threshold value. On Normal mode, the USB host with sufficient power supply supplies power to a device and transmits and receives data with the USB device. |
