PURPOSE: A multi air conditioner and a control method thereof are provided to judge the leakage of the refrigerant by making the manufacturing process simple and to prevent the manufacturing cost from increasing. CONSTITUTION: A multi air conditioner comprises an outdoor unit(1), a compressor(11), and a controller. The compressor is located in the outdoor unit. The controller is located in the outdoor unit. The controller detects the refrigerant amount circulating by operating the compressor at the constant driving rate. The controller judges the leakage of the refrigerant according to the detected refrigerant amount. |
