INSULATION BOX FOR A LNG STORAGE TANK AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PURPOSE: An insulation box for an LNG storage tank and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce the generation of evaporative gas by applying a composite reinforcement structure having an insulation material to an insulation space. CONSTITUTION: An insulation box (1) for an LNG storage tank comprises a primary insulation box (10), a secondary insulation box (20), and a composite reinforcement structure (30). The primary insulation box primarily insulates LNG. The secondary insulation box is formed between the primary insulation box and the inner wall (H) of a ship and secondarily insulates the LNG. The composite reinforcement structure is formed inside of the primary insulation box and/or the secondary insulation box and insulates the LNG. The composite reinforcement structure comprises first plates (31), honeycomb supports (32), first insulation members (33), and second plates (34). The honeycomb supports are coupled to the first plates. The first insulation members are formed inside the honeycomb supports. The second plates are coupled to the honeycomb supports.
