PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-off and adjustment method of hydrogen releasing from a hydride.SOLUTION: An on-off of a hydrogen release is controlled by a contact-noncontact action among reactants. First, at least a hydride powder, a catalyst powder and a reactant including water are provided; and at least two out of the three materials are mixed, thereby forming a mixture. A hydrogen gas is generated by regulating an area where the compound contacts with the hydride powder, the catalyst powder, and a remaining substance excluding the compound in the reactant including the water. A reaction of hydrogen release is stopped when the compound does not contact with the remaining substance. Alternatively, an inhibitor or an inhibiting method is employed to inhibit or stop the reaction of releasing hydrogen. A speed of releasing the hydrogen is controlled or adjusted based on a magnitude of the inhibition. |
