PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for charging a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, by which reduced charge time and charge/discharge cycle life characteristics can be achieved at the same time.SOLUTION: In a charging method of the present invention, a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is charged by performing a plurality steps of a constant current charge step, in which the battery is charged up to a predetermined target voltage at a predetermined current value, until the charging voltage reaches a predetermined charging final voltage while the current value is reduced, and then performing a constant voltage charge step in which the battery is charged until the charging current is reduced to a predetermined current at the charging final voltage. The constant current charge step is performed so that the target voltage is increased with an increase of the number of charge/discharge cycles. |
