PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the overall period of modifying misread characters by facilitating finding of misread characters.SOLUTION: In response to a user setup, a character recognition result is put into an auxiliary file by page units or all pages in a lump, and the file is, or is not, annexed to a PDF file of document image data. In the case of a degree of character recognition being smaller than a threshold, a character or a specified conversion symbol is displayed with a specified color, in response to a user selection. The calculated each degree of character recognition may be stored in correlation with a character code, and the display data may be updated in response to the user changing a threshold using a slide bar on the setup screen and pressing an OK button. |
