PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device for, even under such situations that a self-vehicle is rotating with respect to an object such as the other vehicle existing at the front side of the self-vehicle, estimating the relative position of the object with respect to the self-vehicle with high reliability, and for improving the reliability of determination of the possibility of the contact of the self-vehicle with the other vehicle.SOLUTION: The driving support device of a vehicle includes: means 7 for determining whether or not a self-vehicle 2 is rotating with respect to an object existing in the front side monitoring area of the self-vehicle 2; and means 8 for, when the determination result of the rotation determination means 7 is positive, correcting the relative position of the object to be specified from the measurement data of a millimeter wave radar 3 in accordance with information on the length of depth direction of the object. Contact avoidance processing means 9 for executing processing to avoid the contact of the object with the self-vehicle 2 determines the possibility of the future contact of the object with the self-vehicle 2 by using the corrected relative position during the rotation of the self-vehicle 2. |
