PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can prevent an excessive current from flowing from an electrification auxiliary member to a photoreceptor when common voltage applying means is used for electrification auxiliary members of a plurality of image forming parts and usage amounts are different among the plurality of electrification auxiliary members.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 comprises: common voltage applying means 70 which applies voltage to electrification auxiliary members 7 of a plurality of image forming parts 10; counting means 150 which counts usage amount information correlating to usage amount of the electrification auxiliary member of each image forming part; and control means 110 which, if the usage amounts of the electrification auxiliary members counted by the counting means are different among the plurality of image forming parts, controls surface potential in a region after a transfer part N1 and before an electrification auxiliary part d on a photoreceptor of the image forming part of which usage amount of the electrification auxiliary member is smaller than others, in such a manner that values of direct currents flowing between the electrification auxiliary members and photoreceptors of the image forming parts are made to come closer when electrifying toner on the photoreceptors. |
