PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring the coating amount of an electrode material applied to the surface of a substrate inexpensively and simply in a short time with high precision.SOLUTION: The method of measuring the coating amount of a coating film 21 in an electrode plate 10 where a coated part 22 coated with a coating film 21 and an uncoated part 23 not coated with a coating film 21 are formed in the width direction of a strip-shaped substrate 20 includes a punching step for punching the coated part 22 and uncoated part 23, respectively, in the width direction at the same position in the substrate conveyance direction, a weight calculation step for calculating the weight per unit area by measuring the weight of a coated part sample 22a and an uncoated part sample 23a punched, respectively, at the coated part 22 and uncoated part 23 in the punching step, and a coating amount calculation step for determining the coating amount of coating film 21 on the basis of the difference of weight per unit area calculated in the weight calculation step. |
