PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing environment-friendly phenol resin is provided to reduce emission of formaldehyde and to improve mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing environment-friendly phenol resin for a particle board which suppresses diffusion of formaldehyde comprises a material injecting step (S101) of injecting formaldehyde, phenol, and an additive in a reactor and manufacturing a mixture, an acidity control step (S103) of adding NaOH to the mixture passed through the material injecting step, a condensation polymerization step (S105) of condensing and polymerizing the mixture passed through the acidity control step, and a cooling step (S107) of cooling polymeric compositions manufactured through the condensation polymerization step.
