The lumbar orthosis (10) has two sections (12,14), each of which has a connecting element, and a clamping system (16,18) that is provided for connecting both sections. The clamping system has a clamping element (22,26), which is extended by connecting elements of the both sections, and has a clamping unit (20,24) for clamping of the clamping elements. The clamping unit is provided for adjusting the predetermined clamping force in its predetermined position at one of the sections.
