<p>PURPOSE: A novel organic dye is provided to minimize dye accumulation by a unique structure that two planes crosses, to enhance bonding strength of the dye onto the surface of TiO_2, and to be used as a solar cell with high photoelectric conversion efficiency and stability. CONSTITUTION: A KS-5 derivative is denoted by chemical formula 1. A method for preparing KS-5 of chemical formula 1 comprises the steps of: synthesizing N1,N4-bis- (4-bromophenyl)-N1,N4-diphenylbenzene-1,4-diamine using two L1 molecules of chemical formula 2 (2P); synthesizing 5,5'- (4,4' (1,4-phenylenebis (phenylazanediyl)bis (4,1-phenylene)dithiophen-2-carbaldehyde using the synthesized product of 2P (3P); synthesizing phenylene bis (phenylazanediyl)bis (4,1-phenylene)bis (thiophene-5,2-diyl))bis (2-cyanoacrylate) using the synthesized product of 3P (4P); and synthesizing (2E,2'E)-3,3'- (5,5'- (4,4'- (1,4-phenylene bis (phenylazanediyl)bis (4,1-phenylene)bis (thiophene-5,2-diyl))bis (2-cyanoacrylic acid) (KS-5) using the synthesized product of 4P. An organic dye for a dye-sensitized solar cell contains the KS-5 derivative of chemical formula 1.</p> |
