PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering system capable of suppressing an unpleasant kickback phenomenon to a steering wheel without reducing opportunities to perform automatic stop control for a prime mover such as an engine.SOLUTION: When an automatic stop condition of the engine 2 is established (S1), an ECU 44 increases a rotational speed of a sub-hydraulic pump 20 depending on a steering angle by driving an auxiliary motor 22 (S2), and subsequently stops the supply of fuel to the engine 2 (S3). After an engine rotation speed indicates approximately 0 (S4), the rotational speed of the sub hydraulic pump 20 is gradually decreased depending on a time by the auxiliary motor 22 (S5), and the auxiliary motor 22 is stopped (S6). |
