PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve conveyance accuracy of a sheet drawn out from a roll sheet, while suppressing a decrease in throughput.SOLUTION: A sheet conveying device includes: a first driving source 6 generating a driving force for rotating a roll sheet 1; a second driving source 12 generating the driving force for conveying a sheet drawn out from the roll sheet; a first inertia calculation means E1 for calculating moment of inertia about a rotation axis of the roll sheet 1 by measuring rotational motion of the roll sheet 1 while the second driving source 12 is operated; a second inertia calculation means E2 for calculating moment of inertia about the rotation axis of the roll sheet 1 on the basis of the width, density, and radius of the roll sheet 1; a determination part for determining which of the first and second inertia calculation means E1, E2 is used; and a control part 120 for controlling the first driving source 6 so that predetermined tension is applied to the sheet on the basis of the calculated moment of inertia. |
