PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclining device having an external spring and a spring cover that is easily positioned.SOLUTION: A spring cover 101 has a standing wall crossing the externally exposed surface of a base plate 25. On the externally exposed surface of the first member 25, three or more fitting projections 25e are formed, which can come in contact with the outer surface of the standing wall of the spring cover 101 and are fitted in fitting holes formed on a seat-back member. On the standing wall of the spring cover 101, a first rotation regulating surface 101e and a second rotation regulating surface are formed so that they come into contact with the fitting projections 25e to regulate the rotation in one direction and in another direction on the externally exposed surface of the first member 25. |
