PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner in which clogging of a filter due to too much accumulation of dust in a second separation part can be surely prevented.SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner 11 has an electric fan 31. The vacuum cleaner 11 has the second separation part communicating with the suction side of the electric fan 31, for centrifuging dust from sucked air containing the dust and collecting it. The vacuum cleaner 11 has a filter positioned between the suction side of the electric fan 31 of a cleaner body and the second separation part. The vacuum cleaner 11 has an optical sensor 84 positioned between the filter and the second separation part, for detecting a passing dust amount. The vacuum cleaner 11 has a control means 34 for executing control so as to lower the input of the electric fan 31 when the dust amount detected by the optical sensor 84 is equal to or larger than a prescribed amount. |
