PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner in which a dust collecting chamber can be downsized by solidifying dust.SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes a dust collecting chamber 15 for collecting dust separated in a dust separation part 14, a humidifying port 22 opened on the dust collecting chamber 15, a compression means 23 for compressing the dust collected in the dust collecting chamber 15, a humidifying means 32 communicating with the humidifying port 22, for generating moisture, and a dust heating means 27 for heating the dust compressed by the compression means 23, and is configured such that the humidifying means 32 supplies the moisture to the dust collecting chamber 15 and the dust heating means 27 heats the dust compressed by the compression means 23. Thus, the dust compressed like ironing is solidified. In the meantime, since the compressed dust is heated by the dust heating means 27 and dried by evaporating the moisture, growth of mold and bacteria included in the dust is suppressed. |
