PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver comprising an operation unit capable of inputting a cursor moving command and a gesture pattern command with a low power consumption and without mode switching.SOLUTION: The broadcast receiver comprises remote operation means, reception means, and control means. The remote operation means comprises: first input means which reads a locus obtained by tracing on a surface in order to input a gesture pattern; and transmission means which transmits the locus read by the first input means. The control means identifies the gesture pattern from the locus received by the reception means, specifies whether the identified gesture pattern is an input for direction movement of the cursor or an input of a command, and outputs an operation instruction according to the identified result. |
