PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission system that recognizes the existence of a foreign object, prevents the foreign object from generating heat during power transmission, and also prevents the deterioration of the power transmission efficiency.SOLUTION: A power transmission system of this invention transmits electric energy from a power transmission antenna 140 to a power reception antenna 210 through an electromagnetic field. The power transmission system includes an inverter part 130 outputting an AC voltage of a predetermined frequency; the power transmission antenna 140 to which the AC voltage from the inverter part 130 is input; a power transmission control part 150 controlling the voltage and the frequency of the AC voltage output from the inverter part 130; a power reception control part separating the power reception antenna 210 from a circuit supplying electric power received by the power reception antenna 210 to a load when a foreign object between the power transmission antenna 140 and the power reception antenna 210 is detected. |
