The present invention relates to the installation structure of a counterweight for heavy construction equipment having an improved counterweight mounting structure so that the number of assembly and working processes are reduced when the support mounting part of a counterweight is installed on the mounting support of a vehicle body. The installation structure of the counterweight includes: a bracket mounting hole defined in one side of the upper portion of a support mounting part; a bracket having an integrated nut and having a plurality of fixing holes and mounted on the bottom surface of the bracket mounting hole; a first guide disposed on one side of the inner surface of the bracket mounting hole to support one side of the top surface of the bracket having an integrated nut, thereby preventing the bracket having an integrated nut from being separated; second guides disposed on one side of the inner surface of the bracket mounting hole at a predetermined distance to support one side of the bracket having an integrated nut; and a fixing member passing through the mounting support and coupled to the fixing holes to fix the bracket having an integrated nut to the fixing holes.
