The parameter adaptation method (100) involves determining (120) an adaption of time constant (Tad) by using a current time constant (T) and a position information or speed information (140) of a vehicle, where the current time constant is replaced (130) in unrolling algorithm by the adapted time constants. The parameter for prediction of unrolling performance of the vehicle is represented, particularly by a linear equation. The unrolling algorithm is designed to determine (160) a start point, at which the unrolling process of the vehicle is initiated or adjusted.
