PURPOSE: A composition containing gC1qR for controlling lamellipodia formation and cancer metastasis is provided to suppress cell adhesion and migration. CONSTITUTION: A composition for inducing lamellipodium contains gC1qR protein or a gene encoding the protein. The protein has an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1. The gene has a base of sequence number 2. A composition for inducing cell migration or cell adhesion contains the protein or gene. A composition for diagnosing cancer metastasis contains the protein or gene. A method for screening an anti-cancer agent comprises: a step of contacting a test material with the gene as a target material; a step of confirming the reaction between the target material and test material; and a step of determining whether the test material enhances or suppresses gene expression.
