PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing kauran derivative isolated from Siegesbeckia Glabrescens is provided to promote gastrointestinal epidermal cell proliferation and to prevent or treat gastrointestinal ulcer. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating gastrointestinal damage contains a kauran derivative selected from the group consisting of chemical formulas 1-9 and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The compound is isolated from Siegesbeckia Glabrescens. The pharmaceutical composition is manufactured in the form of powder, granules, tablets, capsules, suspensions, emulsions, syrups, suppoisitory, external use, or sterilized injection solution. |
