PURPOSE: A diaphragm type drain pump is provided to prevent a reverse flow of the water discharged via a water outlet of a water inlet-outlet cover as a check valve for preventing a reverse flow is installed inside the water outlet. CONSTITUTION: A diaphragm type drain pump includes a water outlet cap (900), a check valve (800), and a spring (S). An expandable unit surrounding a diameter of a water outlet (120) of a water inlet-outlet cover is formed under the water outlet cap and joined to the water outlet to be detachable. A shrinkable unit which is shrank to be stepped from the expandable unit is formed above the water outlet cap. The check valve is inserted inside the water outlet of the water inlet-outlet cover and slid vertically. The lower part of the check valve opens/closes an outlet connection hole (720) of a water port. An end of the spring is supported by the upper part of the expandable unit of the water outlet cap, and the other end thereof is joined to the upper part of the check valve so that the spring elastically supports the check valve downwardly.
