PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which: in a configuration in which a sheet is conveyed by a conveyance belt arranged between a transfer unit and a fixing unit while being sucked by sucking means, when the loop amount of the sheet between the transfer unit and the fixing unit is controlled, the sheet goes out of control due to the sucking to the conveyance belt.SOLUTION: When the leading edge of a sheet is positioned between a transfer unit and a fixing unit, an image forming apparatus activates sucking means to suck the sheet to a conveyance belt; and when the leading edge of the sheet reaches the fixing unit, and then the conveyance speed of the fixing unit is controlled so that the loop amount within a fixed range is formed between the transfer unit and the fixing unit to convey a sheet, the image forming apparatus controls the sucking means to stop sucking. |
