PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the labor required for work of correcting defective insert bundles, concerning an accumulation of insert bundles collated by a collator for newspaper inserts and piled up.SOLUTION: This lift device 1A for the insert bundles is arranged in association with the collator 2 having a distribution function of: collating various kinds of inserts into the insert bundles and discharging them from discharge openings 20, 21; and automatically discharging the defective insert bundles, which have predetermined abnormalities in paper feeding when collation, through a different discharge opening from nondefective bundles, and lifts up the insert bundle accumulations, in which the discharged insert bundles are accumulated, to a predetermined height. The lift device includes a plurality of loading racks 11a, 11b each loading and storing the discharged insert bundles below each discharge opening, and a lift means for lifting up and supporting the insert bundle accumulations piled up to a predetermined amount in a predetermined ones of the loading racks 11a, 11b by vertically-operable lift racks 10a, 10b to a predetermined position of a height at which workers perform taking-out work. |
