PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transfer system and an information transfer method for inhibiting leakage of data even when a portable storage device which is used for transfer of the data is lost or robbed.SOLUTION: When data is transferred from an information apparatus 1 to an information apparatus 2, a plurality of portable storage devices 10 which store the data to be transferred are used. One portable storage device 10 is connected to the information apparatus 1 via a USB to input the data. The portable storage device 10 encrypts the input data, and simultaneously divides the data to generate divided data. The divided data is distributed to other portable storage devices 10 to be stored by an information management server 30 which is connected to the portable storage devices 10 via a wireless LAN. When the data is output to the information apparatus 2, the information management server 30 collects the divided data from the respective portable storage devices 10. The portable storage devices 10 are connected to the information apparatus 2, the encrypted data is restored from the divided data, and after that, the encrypted data is decrypted to be output to the information apparatus 2. |
