The present invention relates to the VOIP call field, and provides a method for realizing a VOIP call in a cloud computing environment. Bidirectional voice stream transmission between a cloud desktop client and a communication peer is realized through an RDP proxy, so as to realize a VOIP call, thereby reducing the communication delay and reducing the load on a cloud desktop virtual machine. The present invention is applied to the VOIP call in a cloud computing environment.
