Embodiments of the present invention provide a retransmission method and apparatus. The method comprises: after a network side node receives a negative acknowledgement fed back by a terminal, a network side apparatus controlling the network side node to send a second space treatment mode to the terminal, the negative acknowledgement indicating a decoding failure of the terminal on downlink data sent by a first node, the second space treatment mode being a space treatment mode adopted by a second node on the downlink data, and the second space treatment mode being different from a first space treatment mode adopted by the first node on the downlink data; and the network side apparatus controlling the second node to perform space treatment on the downlink data by using the second space treatment mode and then retransmitting the treated data to the terminal. According to the embodiments of the present invention, the retransmission success ratio is improved and the system stabilization is enhanced.
