A vehicle control system provided with a first motor/generator (10) and a second motor/generator (20), and a differential gear (60) having a ring gear (R) and a sun gear (S) that the first motor/generator and second motor/generator (10, 20) are separately connected to, and further having a carrier (C) connected to a drive wheel side, wherein when the first motor/generator (10) and second motor/generator (20) are both regeneratively driven and the SOC of the battery exceeds a predetermined threshold, either the first motor/generator (10) or second motor/generator (20) is switched to a motoring mode.
