<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for isolating nucleic acids or biological materials. The apparatus of the present invention comprises tube mounting portions (22) having opened mounting spaces (24) provided at the upper portion of a tube rack (20), and opened magnet spaces (26) are formed to be open at the lower portion of the tube rack (20). The mounting spaces (24) and the magnet spaces (26) are formed at adjacent positions so as not to overlap each other, wherein shaking is carried out by the vibration provided by a rack driving source (12) when tubes (40) are mounted at the mounting spaces (24), and magnets (36) enter the magnet spaces (26) so as to move along the entire section of materials contained in the tubes (40) when tubes (40) are provided at the mounting spaces (24). Particularly, the magnets (36) move from the bottom to the top of the tubes (40) so as to provide a space enabling movement of a pipette at the upper portion of the tubes (40). In addition, the present invention collects magnetic particles while reciprocating the magnets (36) multiple times, and thus collection can be more rapidly carried out.</p> |
