The air inlet (1) comprises a fresh air channel (2) for the inlet of fresh air, an air circulation channel (4) for the inlet of air from the passenger compartment, an air outlet for directing air to a blower and a flap (10). A housing wall (9), a partition (7) and a surface (17a) of the flap limits the fresh air channel. The housing wall in communication with the surface of the flap forms a contour tapered to the flow cross-section of the fresh air channel in the flow direction (3) of the fresh air to compensate the dynamic pressure in the fresh air channel.
