The valve (10) has a closure element (12) i.e. hollow shaft, arranged in a flow aperture (14) in a housing (16). The flow aperture is formed between a high pressure region and a low-pressure region. The closure element is movably mounted along a longitudinal axis (18) of the flow aperture for transfer of the closure element into an opened state and a closed state. The closure element comprises a front surface (22) opposite to another front surface (20), where system pressure (P) of a fuel injection system acts on the front surfaces. The flow aperture is in a form of a bore hole.
