The present invention relates to a method for using local currency for reviving a commercial area of a city undergoing urban renewal. In particular, the method includes: a first step of a local currency application server issuing local currency corresponding to a payment provided by a user terminal or an external investor terminal connected via the Internet; a second step of selling the local currency issued by the local money application server at a partially discounted rate to the buyer terminal via the Internet; a third step of buying products provided by an urban renewal shopping area server by using the local currency purchased through the buyer terminal; a fourth step of saving a portion of the profits in the local currency saving module of the local currency application server according to the rate at which the local currency is used in the urban renewal commercial area server.
