The invention relates to a particulate Group 2 metal/transition metal olefin polymerisation catalyst component comprising a special 1-cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboxylic diester as internal donor, to a process for preparing same and to the use of such a catalyst component for preparing a catalyst used in the polymerisation of olefins.
