PURPOSE: A breech block capable of transferring a high current and a cannon including the same are provided to ignite ammunition using electric power by arranging insulators all over to limit discharge due to the high current and to secure safety. CONSTITUTION: A breech block(30) comprises a breech block main body(31), an electrode(72), and a connecting rod(73). The breech block main body is mounted on a breech ring which accommodates a gun barrel and is formed to open a powder chamber of the gun barrel for loading ammunition. The electrode is in contact with the ammunition and supplies a current for ignition. The connecting rod is electrically connected to a power supply device in order to deliver the current. |
