摘要 A preparation method of an activated carbon adsorbent for removing hydrogen sulfide contained in digestion gas is provided to increase the utilization efficiency of iron oxides at room temperature and reduce volume of the adsorbent by using an activated carbon adsorbent having fine particles of iron oxide applied to a surface thereof, and generate power from digestion gases economically and environmentally friendly by removing hydrogen sulfide at the room temperature. A preparation method of an activated carbon adsorbent for removing hydrogen sulfide comprises the steps of: applying an aqueous ferrous hydroxide solution onto a surface of activated carbon having a large specific surface area; and heat-treating the ferrous hydroxide-applied activated carbon in an air atmosphere to convert ferrous hydroxide to ferrous oxide. The activated carbon has a specific surface area of at least 500 m^2/g. The aqueous ferrous hydroxide solution contains ferrous hydroxide at a concentration of 5 to 10%. The heat treatment process is conducted at a temperature of 400 to 600 deg.C. A preparation method of an activated carbon adsorbent for removing hydrogen sulfide comprises the steps of: applying an aqueous solution comprising 5 to 10% of ferrous hydroxide onto a surface of activated carbon having a specific surface area of at least 500 m^2/g; and heat-treating the ferrous hydroxide-applied activated carbon at a temperature of 400 to 600 deg.C in an air atmosphere to convert ferrous hydroxide to ferrous oxide.
