The device (1) has an audio part (12) for audio-communication according to a structure of an audio-connection with another station device of a house intercom system. A user-sided activateable or deactivateable unit automatically receives a call to be responsive by the latter device within the intercom system by automatic structuring of the audio-connection in response to the call. A video-display (20) of a video part (16) represents a video image and/or a user menu. A loudspeaker of the audio part is arranged in an area covered by the video-display within a device housing.
